Unlocking Ideas

It is said that truth is stranger than fiction. I couldn't agree more. Strange things can occur to us throughout our day, and we love to mentally embellish them. Perhaps there is someone unusual standing nearaby, and our mind races with the possibilities of what motivates them and what they might be capable of. We must use our daily experiences as ideas for our writing projects. Reading the newspaper and watching the news can provide us with myriad ideas for a book or short-story. We must always be on the look-out for these nuggests of thought.

Tales Of Terror

Welcome all who love tales of terror!

Writing a good book requires a grasp of the four types of prose. But writing a book of horror requires an acute understanding of our primal fears. Lurking inside us are things we fear and loathe. A good writer must draw forth these primal fears, leading them from the shadows of the mind and into the light of the conscious. My first two books, ALIEN SIEGE and KING OF THE DEAD, do just that. If you would like to see the covers of these works, please drop me a line at david.dickens@gmail.com. My website www.TheMasterOfHorror.com will be up and running next week. If you would like to discuss the genre of horror, or want to talk about prose in general, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

Have a great day!

And don't turn out the light!
